Smile to the rescue

- Children in every language laugh the same way. As soon as they stop being afraid, they want to have fun — says Marcin Dudek, director of the Czerwone Noski Klown Foundation at the Hospital. - By involving refugee children in a clown, we reduce their stress, thereby stimulating the parasympathetic nervous system, helping them in the process of self-regulation.

‍Immediately after the outbreak of war, Red Nose Clown Foundation in the Hospital joined in helping Ukraine by organizing humor therapy at reception points. They knew how to do this because they had previously helped children in refugee centers in South Sudan, Lesbos and Bosnia.

On a daily basis, medical clowns from Red Nose entertain little patients in pediatric hospitals all over Poland. Working with trauma is something they know best.

We are proud that Salumanus was part of the project.”Smile to the Rescue”. We supported a series of four meetings for children from Ukraine who live in reception centers in Krakow.

- Like most companies in Poland, we have been operating in an exceptional mode since February 24. Between work and daily duties, the topic of helping our neighbors from Ukraine is constantly shifting.
