Kilimanjaro captured!
Another mountain captured with Salumanus. Continuing his adventure with high mountains, Andrzej Szulc, despite not the best weather conditions during the climb, conquered the highest mountain of Africa - Kilimanjaro.
This is another peak, in the collection after the Crown of the Mountains, which Andrzej Szulc won together with Salumanus. Kilimanjaro is the highest peak in Africa (5895 m above sea level) The Kilimanjaro massif grows alone in the middle of the savannah. The hike to the top leads through all the zones of African vegetation. It starts in the savannah, runs through the tropical forest, and ends with perpetual snows. The relative altitude that is covered during the five-day journey to the summit is enormous — about 5,000 meters. Therefore, there is a very high risk that during the hike the climbers will catch altitude sickness, which is why, in fact, the key to conquering the mountain is a good acclimatization, which not every organism is able to acquire in such a short time.
Let us recall that Mr. Andrzej Szulc together with Salumanus has already conquered: Aconcagua (the highest peak of South America), Elbrus (the highest peak of the Caucasus) and Denali (the highest peak of North America).
Congratulations and wish you good luck in realizing your dreams!
