This was verified by one of our customers, who at the beginning of March completed the purchase process and chose Salumanus's offer for the realization of encrypted transmission between two data centers. Nothing would be extraordinary in this if it were not for the fact that the system had to be delivered and installed in 4 weeks and this during the epidemic, when there are a number of restrictions.
What requirements did the bank have for the system?
The system is to operate on two independent optical routes. On each of the routes, the system is supposed to allow several 10GbE, 40GbE and FC 16G transmissions to be launched. In addition, the entire transmission is to be encrypted due to the sensitivity of the transmitted data and at the same time introduce a minimum delay.
How to go when you are not allowed to drive?
It turned out that the deadlines cannot be stretched and the system must be launched as early as March. Due to the fact that non-standard situations require non-standard solutions, together with the client we have agreed that we will carry out remote installation - however improbable it may sound. To begin with, remote training in the field of operation, configuration and monitoring of equipment parameters. Then pre-configuration, thorough instruction... and with a little remote help, the client started the system on its own.
