A universal optical module works differently. It is the same physical module whose memory can be reprogrammed repeatedly, adapting the compatibility configuration to the network's current needs. SRD 5, what is it and how does it work?


SRD 5 is the fifth generation of the GBC Photonics optical module programmer. Its compact housing makes it a tool for fieldwork, where an engineer has to respond quickly to the network's needs. The key difference from earlier generations is built-in Bluetooth, which enables working with an iOS or Android smartphone through the SRD Go app. You program the module from your phone, with no laptop, no cables, and no access to a workstation at the office.
